Pokemon Go Charmander Community Day Classic special research quest tasks and rewards

Trainers, the seventh Pokemon Go Community Day Classic event featuring Charmander has started, and ticket holders can now access and complete the Community Day Classic Special Research story.

First things first, block off your afternoon on Saturday, September 2nd, between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. local time. Clear your schedules, because this is prime Charmander-hunting time.

During these three glorious hours, Charmander sightings will skyrocket. Whether you’re on the hunt for that perfect IV Charmander or trying to snag enough Candy for an evolution, this is your time. Plus, Shiny Charmanders will also make rare appearances. Now, if you’ve never caught a Shiny Pokémon before, let me tell you, it’s a rush.

If you manage to evolve your Charmeleon into a Charizard during or up to two hours post-event, you’ll be rewarded with one that knows both Dragon Breath (4 power in Trainer Battles and 6 power in Gyms/Raids) and Blast Burn (110 power all-around). Why’s this a big deal? Because this particular move set can make your Charizard a dual threat in both PvE and PvP battles.

On Community Day, look out for special tasks popping up in your Field Research queue. These tasks could earn you extra Charmander encounters, oodles of Stardust, Great Balls, and even Charizard Mega Energy. This is a win-win situation; you’re playing the game you love and getting rewarded for it.

For a mere $1.00, you can unlock a Charmander-themed Special Research story. It’s a narrative quest filled with challenges and, of course, rewards. The best part? You can now gift this research to any ‘Great Friends’ or higher on your list. But keep in mind: it’s one ticket per trainer, and no refunds.

Event bonuses are as follows:

• Triple Stardust: Catching any Pokémon during this time will net you 3× the usual Stardust. Perfect for leveling up your battle team.
• Extended Lure Modules: Slap a Lure Module onto a PokéStop, and it’ll last for an incredible three hours.
• Incense Boost: Any Incense (except Daily Adventure Incense) will also stretch out for a full three hours.

How about adding a dash of whimsy? During the event, take snapshots of your Pokémon for some unexpected surprises. Plus, keep an eye out for time-limited research tasks that offer Charizard Mega Energy and XP.
