Pokémon GO Oddish Research Day, What Trainers Can Expect, Features and Bonuses

Trainers,

Trainers, on Sunday, September 17, 2023, Pokémon GO is hosting an Oddish Research Day from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. This event is especially significant for trainers interested in expanding their collections or acquiring valuable in-game items.

The event prominently features Oddish, a Grass/Poison-type Pokémon. Trainers can encounter Oddish by completing Field Research tasks acquired from spinning Photo Discs at PokéStops. The most intriguing part? The potential of encountering a Shiny Oddish during the event.

The bonuses accompanying Oddish Research Day are noteworthy. Trainers will receive double the Stardust for every Pokémon caught, a crucial in-game resource. Additionally, Oddish appearing during this event may have varying sizes – specifically extra-small or extra-large – and may even hold a Sun Stone, an evolutionary item. Moreover, the probability of encountering a Shiny Oddish will be increased.

In addition to Oddish, several other Pokémon will also be available more frequently in the wild, including Paras, Venonat, Bellsprout, Shroomish, Roselia, Cacnea, Foongus, and Bounsweet. These Pokémon all have Shiny variants, making this event an ideal opportunity to add some new Shiny Pokémon to your collection.

A unique feature of this event is the Oddish Showcase at select PokéStops. These showcases offer trainers a novel interaction with Oddish and provide an additional layer of engagement during the event.

Oddish Research Day provides a comprehensive and rewarding gameplay experience. Whether your goal is to accumulate Stardust, add Shiny Pokémon to your collection, or simply encounter a variety of Pokémon, this event offers ample opportunities. Proper preparation, including stocking up on Poké Balls, Berries, and Potions, will help you make the most of this event. Given the wide array of activities and rewards, Oddish Research Day is not to be missed for dedicated Pokémon GO players.
