New login update for Pokémon GO, Essential details for Pokémon Trainer Club users

Starting November 16, 2023, Pokémon GO players using Pokémon Trainer Club accounts will experience a new way of logging in. This update, crucial for maintaining seamless access to the game, will involve changes to the login interface and procedures.

When you log into Pokémon GO with a Pokémon Trainer Club account, you’ll still select ‘Sign-In with Pokémon Trainer Club’. However, an updated login screen awaits you. This change is more than just cosmetic; it’s part of a broader update to enhance account security and user experience.

Key Changes and Actions for Trainers

  1. Logout and Validation: Due to this update, Trainers currently logged in with Pokémon Trainer Club credentials might be logged out. To regain access, you’ll need to validate your account. This is a one-time process, ensuring your account remains secure and accessible.
  2. Remember Your Credentials: Make sure you know your Pokémon Trainer Club username and password. Note that your Pokémon Trainer Club username might differ from your Trainer Name in Pokémon GO. Keeping this information handy will smooth out the login process post-update.
  3. Rewards for Validation: In appreciation of your cooperation with this update, Trainers who validate their Pokémon Trainer Club accounts will receive an exclusive item bonus. Stay tuned for more details on this reward.
  4. Add Additional Login Methods: To prevent any loss of access to your account, especially if a specific login service is down, we recommend adding an alternative login method to your Pokémon GO account. Post-update, Trainers who link a new Pokémon Trainer Club account to their Pokémon GO account will also be eligible for a special reward. Learn how to add an additional login method here.
  5. Recover Forgotten Credentials: If you’ve forgotten your Pokémon Trainer Club username or password, don’t worry. You can recover them here. For further assistance, The Pokémon Company International’s Customer Support team is ready to help here.

This update is part of our ongoing efforts to improve your Pokémon GO experience and ensure your account’s security. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we roll out these changes.
