Sons of the Forest December 6 Update Brings Balances and Fixes

Sons of the Forest, the popular survival game known for its immersive gameplay, has just released a new hotfix introducing several vital updates and fixes. These changes aim to refine the gameplay, offering players a more balanced and bug-free experience.

The hotfix begins with an updated Unity version. This enhancement is pivotal for the game, promising improved performance and stability. It’s a technical upgrade that might go unnoticed by players, but it plays a vital role in the game as a whole.

Here is a small update with some balance tweaks and some fixes.

  • Updated unity version
  • Rebalanced Hydration, fullness, and Health values for consumable items for regular and hard survival
  • Increased Armor health for all armor types
  • Adjusted some Cooking recipes and values
  • Fixed issues with Seasonal assets sometimes reverting to incorrect materials
  • Fixed some cooking recipes not applying their buffs correctly
  • Fixed Cooked Ramen noodle recipe loading incorrectly in save games
  • Fixed blurry particles on Fire Arrows and Lava Splash effect
  • Fixed some items appearing pink on crafting mat in certain cases
