Paper Mario’s Switch Remake Rated by ESRB

Nintendo’s remake of the classic Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door for the Switch has recently been rated ‘E for Everyone’ by the USA Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB). This new development is raising expectations for an early release in the year 2024.

Following previous ratings in Brazil and Korea, the ESRB’s decision adds significant credibility to the speculation that the game might be launched sooner than initially planned. The ‘E for Everyone’ rating indicates the game’s broad appeal and family-friendly content.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is an adventure role-playing game where players join Mario on a mission to save Princess Peach from an alien threat. The game is noted for its unique, paper-crafted world and combines turn-based and puzzle-based combat. Players will encounter and battle various paper-themed creatures using attacks such as boot stomps, hammer strikes, and fireballs. Defeated enemies whimsically transform into stars and coins, adding to the game’s charming and lighthearted tone.

The original “Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door” was a hit on GameCube, beloved for its innovative gameplay, engaging story, and creative design. The remake for the Switch promises updated graphics and possibly new features while retaining the essence that made the original game a classic.
