Trainers, at some point in the game, Niantic and Pokémon GO released a Drain Punch Bewear that took down opponents in two seconds. Now, Niantic and Pokémon GO have acknowledged their mistake, fixed it, and compensated affected players.
The Bewear Drain Punch accidental release happened back in December 2023, right when the White and Black Kyurem release occurred. That’s when we saw what Drain Punch can really do. Well, if you use it, then it’s great, but trust me, you don’t want to be on the other side, as you won’t have time to use a single attack.
A free Item Bundle is available in the in-game shop for any affected Trainer as a token of our apology. Please claim these items by the end of day on February 28, 2025 local time.

Now, after a month, Niantic and Pokémon GO have fixed the issue, and Bewear can now learn Shadow Claw as the Fast Attack instead of Drain Punch, as it was originally intended. As a compensation reward, Niantic and Pokémon GO are giving one Elite Fast TM and one Elite Charged TM for free.
