Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection Launches in March

The classic Battlefront duology is returning for a re-release on modern platforms, updating the campaigns and massive multiplayer battles that came with it.

This is a massive year for the titles of Pandemic Studios and LucasArts original Star Wars: Battlefront, as it’s the game’s 20th-anniversary celebration. To mark the occasion, Aspyr Media has announced that the game and its sequel are to be re-released in a Classic Collection featuring both the classic 2004 shooter and its 2005 sequel.

Next month, we will see the launch of Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection for both Battlefront and Battlefront 2 on modern platforms. The classic games will include both games’ single-player campaigns and the fan-favorite turn-based strategy mode, Galactic Conquest.

The most significant highlight lies in the multiplayer mode: those classic gigantic 64-player battles from the original Battlefront duology are back in full force, including bonus maps and fully restored/integrated heroes, with Hero Assault finally playable on all ground maps. These include support for two-player offline split-screen and Trophies/Achievements. Watch its announcement trailer below.

Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection comes to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on March 14.
