Helldivers 2 is the year’s best-selling game so far
2024 looks good for Arrowhead Game Studios.
Helldivers 2 has secured its position as the best-selling game of 2024. This is a remarkable achievement for Sony, as the game launch-month dollar sales are the 7th highest total ever achieved.
On the contrary, despite only being monitored for a single day in February, FF7 Rebirth got the number 2 spot for the month and the number 4 spot for the year.
However, the focus remains on Helldivers 2. One of the most interesting facts of Helldivers 2’s success story is its distribution platform. 60% of the game’s sales in February, came from Steam. Helldivers 2’s gameplay and its universe has managed to entertain tons of players, which speaks for itself and how good it is.

As we course through 2024, there will definitely be more titles that will get close to Helldivers 2’s success. Or who knows, maybe we already have FF7 Rebirth, it just needs a bit more time to rise up the ranks.
