Some issues have risen after a recent update that is part of the Rediscover GO thing. I am not that surprised though.
The latest update in Pokémon GO, which is supposed to change the way we interact with Pokémon, somehow got in the way of the Buddy feature in the game. You know, Buddy Pokémon are really important to our gameplay, and we absolutely need them, as well as the progress we have with them.
Well, that progress seems to be disappearing. In some cases, the progress with the Buddy Hearts (the love we get from paying attention to our Buddy Pokémon) is not updating correctly. Many players say that they started having this problem after the latest update, and they can’t get the proper “connection” with their Buddy Pokémon.
In this case, the “Walk Together” task that gives out three Buddy Hearts is not properly functioning. The progress doesn’t align with the distance Trainers have walked with their Buddy Pokémon, and they lose all the Buddy Hearts that are very much needed to get to the next level. Imagine walking 10km to get three Buddy Hearts, and the game becomes so broken at times that you’ve walked all that distance for nothing. Not for nothing really, you still get your exercise in.
