Before two years, at E3 2017, it was confirmed by Game Freak that they have been working on a series called Pokemon RPG for Nintendo Switch. Ever since then, we did not have any new information about the game. Some believe that the game would see the light this month.
Fans of Pokemon believe that the “Gen 8 Pokemon” game will be revealed this month firstly because Nintendo is hosting the first Nintendo Direct of 2019 today (on February 13) at 5:00 PM ET.
Secondly, Nintendo NY will host a special event on February 27th, the Pokemon Day. From February 27th up to March 3rd, the fans can attend face paintings, game activities revolving around Pokemon and many more.
The fun part of this event is that there will be a Q&A session with Nintendo Treehouse. For those who do not know, Nintendo Treehouse events usually reveal new games and are held right after the Nintendo Directs or E3.
There are many reasons why fans believe that Game Freak will reveal a Pokemon game a year ahead. Pokemon Sun and Moon were announced as a part of Pokemon Day, even though they are holiday releases.
If nothing is announced, we are left to wonder what they will surprise us with. Maybe the new starter Pokemon will be revealed, or maybe we will take a glimpse at its art style and new gameplay features.
We do know that the Pokemon Company is looking for a Principal Game Designer to create a new Pokemon mobile game.
