Rockstar Games Sold 17 Million Copies of Red Dead Redemption 2

In just two weeks of release, the cruel and realistic wild west set in a video game Red Dead Redemption 2 has managed to top 17 million sales. It is quite surprising to see achieving this height in numbers, as the game marks two weeks after its release, and already managed to bolster some records.

The whole number does count all of the retail copies, as digital. Nevertheless, a milestone is a milestone, no matter in what order achieved. Therefore, Rockstar Games should be proud of themselves.

What’s even more impressing is that when compared to the original version, Red Dead Redemption 2 has achieved quite an amazing success. Namely, Rockstar managed to sell more copies of Red Dead Redemption 2 in two weeks than Red Dead Redemption in 8 years.

Given the comparison above, there’s not any reason to make us lingering about, but to accept the fact that it is the most successful video game seen in a while. The success and benefit preserved, the fans accommodated, the world is carving the notes and success of Red Dead Redemption 2.

Fun fact: Red Dead Redemption Online is not launched yet. Red Dead Redemption Online will contain the multiplayer branch of the game, allowing players to encounter missions together. When RDR2 Online comes to live, things would become even more interesting regarding sales.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
