The Best AS VAL Loadouts in Modern Warfare & Warzone

To many of you that enjoy playing Modern Warfare and Warzone, we have something new to talk about. Sometimes, new weapons know to be enigmatic in terms of builds and loadouts, and that is what we’re talking about today. More precisely, we’re talking about the new assault rifle added with Season 6, the AS VAL. While most of the players have remained faithful to their original loadouts, I decided to give the AS VAL a chance, simply because I am in love with the weapon. Oh yes, and it shreds people quite fast, both in Multiplayer and Battle Royale. Therefore, I’d be d*** if I didn’t commit myself to make this short guide about the new AR, the AS Val.

First and foremost, the AS VAL is a weapon most effective in close to mid-combat scenarios. Its effectiveness falls significantly over distance. The enthusiasm and connection with the AS VAL come from Escape From Tarkov, a game that I was very passionate about. A game in which the AS VAL was devastating in almost every scenario. In reality, the AS VAL is a Soviet-designed rifle featuring an integrated suppressor. Now, that weapon is replicated and available in Modern Warfare and Warzone.

My personal experience with the weapon in both Modern Warfare and Warzone was explicit. So far, I’ve been able to down every opponent that challenges me at close to mid-range distance, and the 20 bullet mag feels just right for the job. Of course, it requires a relatively moderate and steady aim, and every takedown with the AS VAL feels more rewarding than any other weapon. I’ve seen people going for the 30-round mag, which might help in some scenarios, but sacrificing control is not a good idea. For that reason, I’d love to post my build, which helped me win a couple of Warzone games so far.

AS VAL Modern Warfare & Warzone Builds

Mid Range enhanced AS VAL build. This one will probably help you stabilize the weapon recoil at longer distances.

  • Barrel: VLK200MM Osa
  • Laser: Tac Laser
  • Optic: None
  • Stock: VLK Strelok
  • Underbarrel: Cronen Shark
  • Ammunition: None
  • Rear Grip: Rear Grip
  • Perk: None

With this weapon build, both Accuracy and Control are vital. If you want to perform good and laserbeam enemies to death, the attachments above are probably the best you can get. Trust me. I’ve tried numerous changes, including magazines, different grips, stocks, and even perks. None of them feel as complete as the one posted above.

In some scenarios, having the Sleight of Hand perk feels good. If you prefer to have a faster reload, then the best spot to replace the perk for would be the barrel. In that scenario, the build will look as follows:

  • Barrel: None
  • Laser: Tac Laser
  • Optic: None
  • Stock: VLK Strelok
  • Underbarrel: Cronen Shark
  • Ammunition: None
  • Rear Grip: Rear Grip
  • Perk: Sleight of Hand

Just to let you know, I would never go for the 30 round magazine, only because it offers somewhat the same results as the 20. Not that it will help you down an enemy or anything. The fights are almost identical in every scenario, and 30 bullets won’t necessarily meet the requirement of downing two enemies with one mag. Therefore, we advise you to choose nicely and boost the weapon attributes, rather than getting ten more bullets.

Have you tried the weapon loadout yourself? If so, let me know how it went in the comments below!

That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S.
