CoD: Black Ops Cold War Best AK-74U Attachments

If Treyarch wanted to make sure and add something exhausting in CoD: Black Ops Cold War, that would be the weapon grind. It seems that a lot of progress lies behind every weapon in Black Ops Cold War. Leveling up weapons is extremely difficult. It requires a lot of dedication and solid performance to bolster that XP gain at the end of the match. This whole day I’ve been playing the AK-74U, a solid choice for close-mid range battles. Hence, we’re here to talk about its best attachments, and how it felt playing with it.

The AK-74U is a smaller caliber than the AK-47, and its damage value is nowhere near to be compared. However, it’s very useful for the current multiplayer maps, as it seems SMGs are predominant in the current phase. Classified as an SMG, the weapon is small and compact, offering the player a lot of mobility and freedom on the battlefield.

But, let’s cut the long talk and jump straight to the point. The best attachments for the AK-47U. It seems that all of the weapons have somewhat the same mod pattern, each one of them stepping up at the exact same level as others. Nevertheless, the AK-74U can be used differently. Whether is that movement speed and hip fire, or aim down sights and weapon stability, this weapon kinda suits in most of the situations.

With Gunfighter Wildcard

Below you can find what I found the best and most fitting attachments for AK-74U in CoD: Black Ops Cold War. If you’re using the Gunfighter Wildcard, then the order of the attachments would be like this:

  • Optic: Millstop Reflex (simply the best magnification for the current multiplayer scale battles)
  • Muzzle: KGB Eliminator or GRU Suppressor (Up to you if you want more damage on longer distances or speed)
  • Barrel: 8.4″ Rifled (effective damage range sustains the damage output at greater distances)
  • Body: Steady Aim Laser or GRU 5MW Laser Sight
  • Underbarrel: Spetsnaz Grip or Spetsnaz Speedgrip
  • Magazine: 40RND Drum or Taped Mags (If you’re using the Taped Mags, then you should go for the Scavanger perk)
  • Handle: Spetsnaz Field Grip, or GRU Elastic Wrap (Probably the hardest choice because of the loss of Sprint To Fire)
  • Stock: Wire Stock

Keep in mind that this build sustains balance before everything else. In CQBs you would need speed, Hip Fire precision, and fast Speed to Fire transition. If you’re also seeking for that, then this would probably fit you the best.

Without Gunfighter Wildcard

If you’re running any other wildcard, then these would probably be the best fitting attachments for the AK-74U:

  • Muzzle: KGB Eliminator
  • Barrel: 8.4″ Rifled (effective damage range sustains the damage output at greater distances)
  • Body: Steady Aim Laser or GRU 5MW Laser Sight
  • Underbarrel: Spetsnaz Grip or Spetsnaz Speedgrip
  • Handle: Speed Tape, Spetsnaz Field Grip, or GRU Elastic Wrap (Probably the hardest choice because of the loss of Sprint To Fire)

We’re still working on the AK-74U, and we’ll continue until we get to max weapon level. So if anything else stands up, we’ll change it asap. Thanks for reading!
