New PS5 system update corrects the installation of upgraded games when using PS4 discs

Sony has released a brand new update for the PS5. The update is already available to download as announced by PlayStation UK. Based on the changelog, the new 20.02-02.50.00 update will make sure users install the right version of games when using a disc. Previously, PS4 disc installations were going through and install the PS4 version of the game instead of the upgraded one.

What this means is if you have an upgraded version of any game but have the PS4 disc to install from, it could occur the PS5 to install the PS4 version instead of the upgraded one. Well, with today’s update, that is no longer an issue.

Furthermore, the software update improves system performance. Below you can find all of the changes, as detailed by Sony.
