PlayStation Studios Games Average Time from Game Announcement to Game Release is under 11 Months

I have always been interested in how long it takes for a game to be released after its announcement, and how the whole thing goes from zero to hero. What goes on during that time?

There are well-known publishers in the gaming community, and each of them has its timeline of when a game is going to be revealed, the development process, and the estimated release. Some publishers need quite some time from the announcement of a game to the release itself.

Well, according to sources, the beloved PlayStation Studios, needs just under 11 months from announcement to release, on average. The PlayStation Studios is behind games such as Horizon Forbidden West, and Gran Turismo 7, which both needed one year and nine months from announcement to the official releases.

Some games needed less than a year, such as Demon’s Souls, a game that had five months from the official announcement to its release on November 12, 2020. Still, analysis shows that PlayStation Studios’ average time from announcement to release is under 11 months. How interesting, right?

I am still waiting on Marvel’s Wolverine though, after all these years.
