Steam Deck May Offer Multiple Color Variations At Launch

Valve will probably delve into much deeper customization for its handheld mini gaming PC, Steam Deck. From a marketing perspective, it would be more approachable to have different color variations, which would differ from the original one. Having broader customization options is exactly what everyone wants to see, and Valve is probably heading there with their Steam Deck.

Steam Deck launches this December, roughly said, half a year from the time of this writing. But where is the idea for having different colors coming from? Well, Valve has been in touch with PC Gamer, where Tucker Spofford and Greg Coomer, also known as the designers of Steam Deck, have expressed their opinion on the possible color variations of Steam Deck.

Aside from its power to sustain demanding video game titles, the zest for deeper customization will always be there. Having the possibility to choose different color patterns on Valve’s “fancy-looking” handheld device would be ideal for each customer.

Steam Deck is planned to be a handheld gaming device with power ready to run top-notch games and entertain gamers on the move. Steam Deck is considered an all-in-one portable PC gaming solution, including all Steam Games and features, accessible from wherever you are.

According to the designers, the potential color options have been a hot topic among the devs. The developers had a lingering debate at Valve regarding Steam Deck’s colors, which could be the reason for having color variations on launch. It will give a chance to everyone to customize their handheld portable PC according to their will.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
