PlayStation 5 gets new update that improves system performance

Sony has released an unannounced system software update on October 12th, and it’s titled PS5 22.02-062. This small update doesn’t seem like anything major, but it should improve the system performance.

As per the official release:

Multiple reports show that this might be connected to the Jailbreak announcement that was released during the previous month. This was followed with multiple bugs and issues on the PlayStation platform, including kernel access on the PS5.

With all the new features released last month, don’t expect any for your PlayStation anytime soon. Sony usually tests things out before deploying them.
