Luvdisc Limited Research Day Pokemon Go

Trainers, Trainers, February is the month of love, and to celebrate Niantic and Pokemon Go are hosting a Valentine’s Day event and a Luvdisc Limited Research Day.

A Limited Research featuring Luvdisc and Shiny Luvdisc goes live this Saturday, and players have to complete many tasks to earn cool rewards, Pokemon encounters, and shiny Pokemon forms. You will get the Limited Field Research tasks once you spin a PokeDisc at a PokeStop.

If you finish them all, you will get an encounter with Luvdisc, and while we are at it, there will be an increased chance of getting a Shiny Luvdisc.

As wild encounters (Pokemon with increased spawn rate) during the Luvdisc Limited Research Day event will be the following Pokemon:

  • Slowpoke
  • Lickitung
  • Miltank
  • Lileep
  • Feebas
  • Spritzee
  • Fomantis
  • Alomomola

  • Battle in a Gym: Luvdisc
  • Earn a Candy exploring with your buddy: Luvdisc
  • Make a Great Curveball Throw: Luvdisc
  • Make 3 Curveball Throws in a row: Luvdisc
  • Make 3 Nice Throws in a row: Luvdisc
  • Make 3 Nice Curveball Throws: Luvdisc
  • Make 3 Great Throws: Luvdisc
  • Make 5 Curveball Throws: Luvdisc
  • Spin 2 PokéStops or Gyms: Luvdisc
  • Use a supereffective Charged Attack: Luvdisc
  • Use 3 Berries to help catch Pokémon: Luvdisc
  • Use 3 Pinap Berries to help catch Pokémon: Luvdisc

NOTE: Once you get and complete a Field Research task from a specific Poke Stop, you will no longer get Field Research tasks from that Poke Stop.

The Luvdisc Limited Research Day starts on Saturday, February 11, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.
