Monster Hunter World Sold Whopping 18.6 Million Units

Capcom’s Monster Hunter World has risen to incredible heights, becoming the publisher’s biggest success story ever. Selling an impressive 18.6 million units across all platforms by December 31st of 2022, it singlehandedly carries Capcom into a new era with record sales numbers and global appeal that only grows daily!

Capcom’s Monster Hunter Rise, launched in March 2021, has been on a monstrous rise ever since – with 11.7 million units sold and climbing! The June release of Xbox and PlayStation versions no doubt pushed the figure even higher; it’s clear that hunters worldwide are just as enthusiastic about this classic title as ever before.

But that’s not all. With Monster Hunter World: Iceborne continuing to set the bar for sales with over ten million units sold, the anticipation for its successor title, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, is relatively high. After selling more than five million in January 2023 alone, a true feat of strength, it already speaks for its success.
