Final Fantasy 14 Open Beta on Xbox Set for Early Next Year

Square Enix has recently shared plans for the much-awaited open beta of Final Fantasy 14 on Xbox Series X and S. The announcement, made via the game’s official Twitter account, indicates that the beta is planned for early next year, falling somewhere between mid-January and February.

The tweet from Final Fantasy 14’s official account was relatively straightforward: “Mark your calendars, Xbox fans. The Final Fantasy 14 Xbox Series X/S open beta test is scheduled for mid-January to February.” This open beta is the initial opportunity for Xbox players to experience the game before its full launch, scheduled for Spring 2024.

As for the technical side of things, Xbox Series X players can look forward to enjoying the game in 4K resolution. Both Series X and Series S users will also experience the advantage of quick loading times, making for a smoother gameplay experience.

Those who are new to Final Fantasy 14 or want to give it a try before committing can take advantage of the Expanded Free Trial. This offer is already available for PC and PlayStation players and will also be extended to Xbox users.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
