Square Enix appoints new Executive Officers

It’s common to see leadership change, as it motivates people to thrive and strive, especially in big companies like Square Enix. Square Enix has done exactly that, shuffling its executive ranks and promoting several leading game developers and directors to executive officers.

Among the new executive officers are Naoki Hamaguchi, known for his work on Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, and Tomoya Asano, who has been working on Bravely Default, Octopath Traveler, and Triangle Strategy. Their promotions speak for their past success, and will hopefully result in leading the company in the right direction.

Furthermore, Takamasa Shiba, Takeshi Nozue, and Takayuki Hamada are among the newly appointed ones. As such, these officers will have increased authority within their divisions and will have some very difficult responsibilities, such as executing decisions made by the Board.

It’s all for a better future, as Square Enix appoints the following people for new executive officers as of April 1st, 2024 (via Gematsu):

  • Takashi Kiryu

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
