Get Ready for DayZ’s 1.23 Stable Update Landing on November 7

Hey there, DayZ players! Big news, as revealed by Bohemia Interactive: the 1.23 stable update is dropping on November 7th, and it’s shaping up to be a major one. If you’re a fan of the open-world survival game, this is the moment you’ve been waiting for. Now, let’s get into what you should expect.

The update will wipe both maps, but don’t worry; your characters will remain there.

We’re not talking about minor adjustments here, Bohemia is introducing a whole array of new features and items to make the gameplay even better.

More Than Just A Few Tweaks

  • Stuck car? You can now move it out of your way.
  • Designated marksman rifle with options for 10 and 20-round magazines is coming.
  • Expect new clothing items like Padded Gloves, Winter Coif, and more.
  • New sound effects will enhance your immersion, from crafting rags to deploying fireplaces.

Let’s face it, no game is perfect, but the developers are working hard to polish the gameplay. The list of fixed issues is long, covering everything from animation glitches to sound bugs. This means your gameplay is going to be more seamless than ever before.

Overhauls and Tweaks

  1. The sky in DayZ will now be more realistic, thanks to overhauling its textures.
  2. A major update to the air base should keep things interesting.
  3. Better control and improved mechanics for a smoother ride.
  4. High-tier military areas will now feature different weapon types, keeping the game balanced yet challenging.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
