The testing phase is the first step towards a broader policy and enforcement plan set to launch in 2024. Rockstar’s focus is not just on moderating in-game communication but also on ensuring player privacy. As part of this process, some voice chats may be securely recorded and stored temporarily, but only when necessary for player safety. Rockstar assures that these recordings will never be shared with third parties.
Regarding in-game interactions, Rockstar understands the difference between harmful behavior and light-hearted, competitive banter. The moderation system is designed to identify and prevent player-to-player harassment while allowing friendly competitive talk.
