New World Update 4.0.1 Patch Notes

Amazon Games released a new update for New World, 4.0.1. Below you can find the patch notes. With 4.0.1, new World is getting changes to crafting recipes, the acquisition of Winter Tokens, and exciting Prime Gaming Loot.

GOLDEN SCARAB CRAFTS

  • Adjusted the recipes and costs for Golden Scarab crafts:

    • Recipes no longer require a Chromatic Seal.

    • Recipes will now require 3 Golden Scarabs instead of 1.

    • Recipes will now require 1 Matrix that matches the item type:

      • Armor Matrix for Armor or Bags.

      • Weapon Matrix for Weapons or Tools.

      • Jewelry Matrix for Jewelry.

    • Prismatic Blocks will now require 1 Powerful Gemstone Dust instead of 2.

    • Blessed Rivets will now require 15 Powerful Gemstone Dust instead of 25.

WINTER WARRIOR

  • We have changed how players get Winter Tokens from the Winter Warrior.

    • Players will now get 1 Warrior’s Hailspike per kill with a cap of 3 daily.

    • Warrior’s Hailspikes will now convert to 2 Premium Winter Tokens up from 10 normal Tokens.

    • This will allow players to get 6 premium Winter Tokens daily or the equivalent of 150 normal Tokens.

    • For players with additional Winter’s Hailspikes, up to 5 can be converted daily.

    • Our goal is provide a valuable amount of daily Tokens while reducing the need for players to spend time farming the Winter Warrior. Players who want more tokens can continue to engage with holiday trees in towns as well as gather Gleamites and presents throughout Aeternum.

NOTABLE FIXES

  • The selection mode and HUD UI will now immediately change when turning off the option to target members of your own raid group with a Life Staff.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented Wars from being scheduled.

  • Fixed an issue that allowed players to set any regular Expedition as Mutated.

  • Fixed an issue that allowed players to acquire Mutated loot through regular Expeditions.

  • Fixed an issue that caused housing decorations to take an excessively long time to appear.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented progress on the quest, “Voices of the Desert”.

  • Removed vine walls in Edengrove that blocked progression for the quest “The Wizard’s Trial”.

  • Fixed an issue that caused the Frigid Dawn armor upgrade recipes to not appear at the Gypsum Kiln.

  • Fixed an issue that could cause the game client to crash.

  • Fixed an issue that could cause the game server to crash, resulting in sudden player disconnections

NEW PRIME GAMING LOOT – RONIN’S SHADOW CACHE

Exclusive New World consumable items will be available on December 20, 2023 at 11:30AM PT through Prime Gaming until January 23, 2024. If you are an Amazon Prime member, make sure to pick up the Ronin’s Shadow Cache! It contains Vial of Suspended Azoth x10, Dark Matter x50, Gypsum Orb x5, Verdant High Bed x1, Round Standing Lantern x1, and Powerful Proficiency Boost x10.
