Pokemon Go Origin Dialga and Palkia Showcases Over the Weekend

Trainers, there’s this feature called PokeStops Showcases in Pokemon Go, and if you’re wondering what that’s all about, you’re in the right place.

Showcases are pretty much Pokemon Go rolling out the red carpet for specific Pokemon for a limited time. Think of it as your exclusive pass to see some special Pokemon stars up close. But first, you need to compete against another player and see who got the biggest Pokemon.

With the Go Tour Sinnoh event just around the corner this weekend, the spotlight’s on two big names – Origin Forme Dialga and Origin Forme Palkia. Plus, they’re the main event in their showcases.

So mark your calendars for February 24, 2024, at 10 AM local time, because that’s when the action starts. We’re talking about a chance to get up close and personal with Origin Forme Dialga and Palkia. Remember, this is a limited-time deal, so let’s make the most of it.

Excited? I sure am. It’s not every day we get to see legends like these in the spotlight.

For last, let’s refresh our memory and see how one can enter a PokeStop Showcase.

There are two ways that you can enter your Pokemon into a PokeStop Showcase. The first is locally, at a PokeStop.

When you visit a PokeStop with an active Showcase, just below the current leader’s details you will see a suggested Pokemon that meets the criteria for the Showcase. Tap the Enter button to submit your Pokemon into the Showcase. You can also tap Switch Pokemon to select a different Pokemon from your inventory to enter into the Showcase.

You can also submit a Pokemon to a PokeStop Showcase after catching it in the wild. If you catch a wild Pokemon that is either a possible competitor for a nearby PokeStop Showcase or a better candidate than your current selection in a PokeStop Showcase you have already entered, you will see a button on the Pokemon details page that says Enter Nearby PokeStop Showcase.

Tapping this button will submit your Pokemon into the qualifying PokeStop Showcase.

Once you have entered your Pokemon into a PokeStop Showcase, you can see their current ranking on the Today View. Tapping the Pokemon on this screen will show you the leaderboard and allow you to swap your current entrant for another Pokemon in your inventory.

Note that you can participate in a maximum of 3 PokeStop Showcases at a time.”
