Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour February 2024 featuring Dratini

Here we are again, discussing what is waiting for us in Pokemon Go. Well, it is safe to say that a fan-favorite event is here, and we are excited about it.

In the light of the Year of the Dragon, we will have a Dragon-type Pokemon gracing us during the most loved event in Pokemon Go, Spotlight Hours. These sorts of events really come in handy each Tuesday of a month, and for one hour exactly, Trainers have the chance to catch the featured Pokemon as many times as it appears on their map.

As mentioned, due to this year being the Year of the Dragon, the Pokemon that will be starting the Spotlight Hours in February 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. is Dratini, and Shiny Dratini.

Dratini is a Dragon-type Pokemon, and it has very well-known evolutions, and they are Dragonair, and Dragonite (Dragonair evolves into Dragonite). Dratini is a reptilian-like Pokemon with a blue serpentine body, and its underside is white. On the sides of its head, there are three-pronged fins, white in color, and a white bump on its forehead.

What is also really interesting about this Pokemon is that it has been referred to as “Mirage Pokemon” because it was discovered by a fisherman, thus prompting a myth about its existence. Its appearance is really mesmerizing, so I would understand why its existence might be a myth.

Another good thing is that every Spotlight Hour event has its active bonus, and for this Spotlight Hour February 2024, the designated bonus is x2 XP for catching Pokemon.

To get the maximum out of this Spotlight Hour in February 2024, you can use a Lucky Egg, and catch as many Pokemon as you see on the map, and you can easily get a really nice amount of XP. We all know how much we need that XP.
