Apex Legends ALGS Hit by Hacks, Pro Players Affected, Finals Postponed
The Apex Legends ALGS Regional Finals in NA have been postponed due to hacking attacks on pro players during the matches, and it is unknown when the competition will be held again.
Pro players Genburten, and ImperialHal were hacked live, during the ALGS. We have never seen anything like this before, and EA should ask themselves who is leading their security team.
So what happened? Well, it looks like the tournament servers have special features for spectators and other functionalities. The hacker activated cheats for select players. It seems the initial target was specific teams, but after they got eliminated, the hacker focused on the two most popular players instead.
Here’s what was happening.

We will share more information soon.— Apex Legends Esports (@PlayApexEsports) March 18, 2024
EA must fix their servers because many cheaters appeared in Apex lately. This is getting serious, and we hope they come out with some explanation soon.
