Pokemon Go Max Daily Player count Drops from 9 Million to 5 Million after Remote Raid changes
Trainers, Pokemon Go is one of the most famous mobile games in the gaming world, and like any other game, this game has its ups and downs. Many games lose players for certain reasons, and Pokemon Go has seen a significant drop in daily player numbers since the Remote Raid changes.
Jonkus, a well-known Pokemon Go player, content creator, and PvP specialist, shared an interesting infographic on X, in which we can see how many players play the game per day, and how many players have stopped since the Remote Raid changes.
To be honest, we knew there was a drop in numbers, but we didn’t know that that drop was half of the players. To be more precise, Pokemon Go went from an average of 8,7 million Max Players Daily to 5 million.
Wild to see that with the remote raid pass change the Max Players Daily nearly halved…
Honestly after a year I have not seen any positive impact from this change, people just play the game less😬
There is just no growth and the sad part is that its because of business… pic.twitter.com/PenQSoy8IY

The Remote Raid changes had a huge impact on the game. They are trying to reverse the drop with the recent QoL updates, but we don’t think they will bring back 3 million players with the Heal All, Solo Raid Ready, and Swap Buddies features anytime soon.
We think it’s time for Niantic and Pokemon Go to reverse the Remote Raid changes if they want the players back.
What is your experience with the game? Do you play Pokemon Go every day despite all the changes, the paid event tickets, and Pokemon locked behind a paywall?
