Pokémon GO Rediscover Kanto Special Research Storyline Guide, All Stages, Tasks, and Rewards
Trainers, the longest event in Pokémon GO, Rediscover Kanto is underway, and you can now complete the new, five-step Special Research, and get useful items as rewards.
The Rediscover Kanto Special Research offers five stages, each stage with different tasks and rewards. The Research requires us to catch Kanto Pokémon, use Berries while at it, and spend some time with our Buddy. The tasks are fun to complete, so trust me, it won’t take you long. Well, catching over 150 Kanto Pokémon in Pokémon GO can be a challenge, but we got this.
As for rewards, you might get Stardust, Lucky Egg, XP, Balls, the ones we use in the game to catch Pokémon, Fast TMs, and much more. So, let’s cut to the chase and focus on the important stuff, the Rediscover Kanto Special Research.

- Use 5 Berries to help catch Pokémon: Bulbasaur
- Feed your Buddy 5 times: Charmander
- Catch 20 Kanto Pokémon: Squirlte
- Rewards: 5000 XP, 2500 Stardust, and 1 Lucky Egg
Rediscover Kanto 2/5
- Use 10 Berries to help catch Pokémon: 20 Poké Balls
- Play with your Buddy 3 times: 15 Great Ball
- Catch 30 Kanto Pokémon: 10 Ulta Balls
- Rewards: 5000 XP, 2500 Stardust, and 3 Fast TMs
Rediscover Kanto 3/5
- Use 15 Berries to help catch Pokémon: 10 Razz Berries
- Feed your Buddy 5 times: 10 Nanab Berries
- Catch 40 Kanto Pokémon: 10 Pinap Berries
- Rewards: 5000 XP, 2500 Stardust, and 3 Charged TMs
Rediscover Kanto 4/5
- Use 20 Berries to help catch Pokémon: 25 Bulbasaur Candy
- Earn 4 Candies exploring with your Buddy: 25 Charmander Candy
- Catch 50 Kanto Pokémon: 25 Squirlte Candy
- Rewards: 5000 XP, 2500 Stardust, and Lure Module
Rediscover Kanto 5/5
- Use 151 Berries to help catch Pokémon: 15100 XP
- Earn 15,100 Stardust: 15100 XP
- Catch 151 Kanto Pokemon: 15100 XP
- Rewards: 10000 Stardust, and 1 Incubator
The Rediscover Kanto Special Research does not expire. This means once you get it you can complete it at any time.
