Cyberpunk 2077 will support Nvidia’s RTX technology, Screenshots Released

RTX ON or RTX OFF, it doesn’t really matter when it comes to playability, as we already know what kind of a beasty game Cyberpunk 2077 will be. There’s no suspicion in the game’s quality and having RTX support just adds another attribute to it. Well, Cyberpunk 2077 will eventually support real-time raytracing, as CD Projekt Red and Nvidia have officially announced the same.

Nvidia, in a partnership with CD Projekt Red, will make the RTX technology a part of the game. This was announced for the first time on Nvidia’s official website, in which the head of GeForce marketing, Matt Wuebbling has stated:

Cyberpunk 2077 is an incredibly ambitious game, mixing first person perspective and deep role-playing, while also creating an intricate and immersive world in which to tell this story. We believe the world of Cyberpunk will greatly benefit from the realistic lighting that ray tracing delivers

Being one of the most anticipated games, this statement wouldn’t have become a thing if it was missing evidence. Therefore, in the light of RTX and the upcoming RPG, Nvidia has released Ray-Tracing images taken in Cyberpunk 2077. It definitely looks… alive.

Adam Badowski, Head of Studio CD Projekt Red stated:

Ray tracing allows us to realistically portray how light behaves in a crowded urban environment. Thanks to this technology, we can add another layer of depth and vertically to the already impressive megacity the game takes place in.

Honestly said, having raytracing enabled will suit both the players and the developers better in any video game. It will allow them to acquire the last piece of shade needed to complete the whole scene, and reflections will be just breathtaking.

Now that E3 2019 is almost finished, we know that everyone’s looking forward to CD Project Red and Cyberpunk 2077. Not only because Keanu Reeves is a part of the game, but also because it literally crashed every other game trailer showcased at this year’s E3. Not to mention, Cyberpunk 2077 has already become the top selling game on both GoG and Steam.

Below you can find the images with RTX ON.
