Ghost of Tsushima sold over 5 million copies

Sucker Punch has a new reason to celebrate. Ghost of Tsushima has managed to sell 5 million copies worldwide. This was stated in a recent article in NYTimes while the developer and Sony remain silent. According to a recent report by NYtimes, Ghost of Tsushima contributes to Sony’s tremendous success by selling over 5 million copies since it’s golden debut in July 2020.

According to NYTimes:

Sony attributes much of its success over the last console generation to the popularity of its exclusive game franchises, including stalwarts like God of War (more than 51 million copies sold) and newcomers like Ghost of Tsushima, with more than five million copies sold since its debut in July.

This action-adventure game is undoubtedly one of the best created on the PS4. First-party video games are those who bring the PlayStation to such fame. Most of the first-party developers and their released games on the PS4 have achieved the same milestone, selling their IP to over 5 million PlayStation users.

Ghost of Tsushima is an action-adventure open-world game developed by Sucker Punch Productions and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It follows Jin Sakai, a samurai, to protect Tsushima Island during the first Mongol invasion of Japan.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
