
Nintendo has released its enhanced version of Pikmin 3, called Pikmin 3 Deluxe. Since its debut, it has sold around 171,349 copies in Japan, which is one of the best debuts in the country. Close to this number is its predecessor, Pikmin 2 with 162,000 copies.
To make the comparison easier for you, the first title in the franchise, Pikmin, sold approximately 101,299 copies. As mentioned above, Pikmin 2 sold 162,000 copies, meanwhile New Play Control! Pikmin got sold in 48,229 copies and New Play Control! Pikmin 2 nearly half, 28,256. Pikmin 3 was a success too, not like the deluxe version of it, but good enough, with 102,188 copies sold in Japan.
