Everything you need to know about The Division Resurgence

Franchise history, closed beta, release date and more

If you’re not aware, Ubisoft announced a free-to-play The Division Resurgence mobile game, and it’s now ready to showcase more. The Division Resurgence will arrive on mobile phones, and agents will get the opportunity to delve in from anywhere around the world, as they will no longer need to glue themselves to their gaming chairs. Vital to notice, the game will take us back to New York, the city of the original and most successful The Division title ever. When society falls, we rise!

The Division Resurgence, Franchise History and more

The Division Resurgence is a third-person shooter RPG set in a massive urban open world. It offers the same acclaimed HD experience tailored to mobile. The Division Resurgence is a whole new opus in the Tom Clancy’s The Division franchise, with the addition of a new storyline, factions and much more.

When Tom Clancy’s The Division was first released in 2016, it became a huge success, with nearly $330 million in purchases made within its first week. This broke records for the fastest-selling game franchise and has since sold over 20 million copies across consoles generations one last time before coming to mobile platforms!

The Division Resurgence is the first title of The Division franchise to join the handheld devices and its family. The game will arrive on both Android and iOS, and its closed alpha pre-registration is finally open. So, if you’re willing to experience this third-person shooter on your mobile device, then make sure you head here and apply for the closed alpha access. Apparently, New York is still in disarray, and the city needs help. Players will have to power through obstacles, eliminate the most twisted minds, and bring authority back.

Storyline, factions, comparison

The Division Resurgence will grasp on previous stories showcased through its predecessors, set in both New York (The Division) and Washington D.C. (The Division 2), but will also narrate its own distinct tale. A mix of everything, including a tasteful gameplay experience. The game is supposed to add a completely new storyline, which will most likely revolve around the new hostile factions and problems that occurred while we’ve been on a journey to Washington D.C. The reason behind this is to add a bit of diversity and make veterans feel like they’re playing a new game.

We’re not sure how similar the game will be compared to previous entries, but it’s clear that other franchises have succeeded in replicating the actual gameplay experience on mobile. Therefore, it’s expected that Resurgence will provide something different. UI or other game elements should be as accessible, especially when it comes to mobile. However, these slight alterations should not be a severe issue but a compelling choice for veterans and newcomers, as per Ubisoft’s recent statements.

When is the closed beta starting?

At this moment, the closed beta is only open to pre-registration, so if you’re willing to jump in, don’t forget to sign up. The date for the closed beta is unknown but is expected to come out any time now.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
