PlayStation Showcase Unveils Ghostrunner 2, Trailer and more

The annual PlayStation Showcase has always been a breeding ground for major gaming announcements, and this year’s event proved no different. Among the various unveilings, the revelation that stood out was the development of Ghostrunner 2.

For those who have missed the trailer, you can find it below:

The original Ghostrunner, released in October 2020, took the gaming world by storm. By May 2021, the cyberpunk action title had sold 600,000 copies, a testament to its intriguing plot and captivating gameplay. The brainchild of a collaborative effort between One More Level and Slipgate Ironworks, and produced by 3D Realms, Ghostrunner enthralled its audience. The publishing giants 505 Games and All In! Games, also played an instrumental role in its successful release.

In an announcement in 2021, 505 Games‘ parent company Digital Bros revealed that Ghostrunner 2 was already in development. The sequel is expected to hit the market for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

The promise of Ghostrunner 2 adds a fascinating dimension to the burgeoning world of cyberpunk action games. The sequel has its work cut out, aiming to replicate – if not surpass – the success of its predecessor. One can only wait and see if Ghostrunner 2 will cut through the competition and carve its own niche in the gaming landscape.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
