On May 18, 2023, Nintendo released an update for this much-loved game, aimed at addressing some ongoing issues and enhancing the overall player experience. Here’s a rundown of what’s been included in this update.

Ver. 1.1.1 (Released May 18, 2023)

General Updates
  • Fixed issue where, sometimes, the player could not clear main quest “The Closed Door,” even if they fulfilled the conditions to advance the quest.
    • If you have already encountered this issue, you will be able to clear the quest by downloading this update data.
  • Several issues have been addressed to improve the gameplay experience.

Remember, to apply this update, you’ll need to connect your Nintendo Switch console to the internet, then select the icon for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom from the HOME Menu. After that, press the + or – Button on your controller and select Software Update.
