Pokémon GO August 2023 Community Day Froakie Rumors

Update: Trainers, Niantic and Pokemon Go announced the August 2023 Community Day Pokemon, and it turns out the rumors were true.

Previous Story: Community Day is an exciting event in Pokémon GO that brings Trainers together from all over the world. During this special occasion, a specific Pokémon takes the spotlight, appearing at a higher rate than usual for a limited time frame per timezone. It’s an excellent opportunity for Trainers to encounter and capture rare or uncommon Pokémon they might not usually find in the wild.

The Community Day Pokémon shiny forms are available during the event, and not only does it appear in abundance, but it also comes with an exclusive Attack when evolved during the event or up to 5 hours afterward. This exclusive Attack can only be acquired through evolution within the specified timeframe but will be added to the Elite TM pool afterward.

Beyond the increased appearances of the Featured Pokémon, each Community Day introduces special bonuses that add to the excitement. Some examples of previous Community Day bonuses include:

  • Increased Stardust Rewards: Trainers receive more Stardust for every Pokémon caught during the event, making it a prime time to boost their Stardust reserves.
  • Increased Catch XP Rewards: Catching Pokémon during Community Day grants Trainers extra XP, helping them level up faster.
  • Increased Lure Module Effectiveness Times: Lure Modules last longer during the event, attracting more Pokémon to PokéStops.
  • Decreased Egg Hatch Distance: Walking required to hatch eggs is reduced, allowing Trainers to hatch more eggs during the event.

As we look forward to the next Community Day on August 13, 2023, the Pokémon GO community is buzzing with excitement. While the official Pokémon for the August 2023 Community Day is yet to be confirmed, rumors suggest that Froakie might take center stage during this event. If the rumors prove accurate, Trainers can anticipate encountering and catching numerous Froakies during the Community Day extravaganza.
