Assassin’s Creed Mirage Releases a Week Earlier Than Expected

Ubisoft just dropped a bombshell on gaming enthusiasts worldwide: The much-awaited Assassin’s Creed Mirage is set to hit shelves sooner than we thought. The gaming giant has slated the release for October 5, 2023, shaving off a week from its initial October 12 debut.

If you’re wondering about the reason for this early treat, it’s because the game has achieved the coveted ‘gold‘ status. In the gaming lexicon, when a game “goes gold,” it signifies that its core development has reached completion and it’s prepped and primed for distribution. Ubisoft Montreal, the mastermind behind the series, couldn’t contain their excitement and took to Twitter to share this double whammy of news.

In a gleaming announcement, Ubisoft Montreal tweeted, “Assassin’s Creed Mirage has gone GOLD!” showering praise and gratitude on their teams and their comrades at @UbisoftBordeaux. The tweet carried the pulse-racing news, punctuated with a drumroll for dramatic effect, revealing the updated release date.

Shifting gears to the development front, Ubisoft Bordeaux, celebrated for their contribution to the Wrath of the Druids expansion for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, is the force propelling Mirage. The game promises a nostalgic journey, echoing the essence of the original Assassin’s Creed. Players can look forward to a thrilling concoction of parkour, stealth maneuvers, and the quintessential assassinations for which the series is famed. It’s a refreshing shift, harking back to the days before the expansive role-playing gameplay seen in titles like Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
