Pokémon GO Paldea Pokémon in eggs, Frigibax takes center stage as a rare 10 km hatch

Niantic and Pokémon GO have pulled back the curtain on the next big Season – Adventures Abound. The upcoming season spans three months and will be teeming with new opportunities, especially for those on the lookout for Gen 9 Pokémon from the Paldea Region.

Whether you’re looking to catch them in the wild, snag them from Raids, or hatch them from Eggs, there are plenty of chances to fill up that Pokédex. So, let’s break down the details of hatching these Gen 9 Pokémon from Eggs.

A handful of new Paldea Region Pokémon are set to debut in Pokémon GO, and they’ll be hatching from various types of Eggs:

  • Lechonk: Keep an eye on those 2 km Eggs, because Lechonk will be making its appearance there. The best part? Lechonk can be shiny.
  • Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly: For those focusing on 5 km Eggs, you’re in luck. Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly are on the roster. However, don’t expect to see them in their shiny forms as these particular Pokémon won’t have shiny versions available.
  • Frigibax: If you’ve been hoarding those 10 km Eggs, now is the time to use them. Frigibax, the pre-evolution of the dragon pseudo-legendary Baxcalibur, will hatch from 10 km Eggs. Given its lofty status, don’t expect Frigibax to be a common find in Eggs. Niantic is known to be pretty tight-fisted with such Pokémon, especially when they’re shaping up to be key players in the game.

These new Paldea Region Pokémon will start appearing in Eggs starting September 15 at 8:00 p.m. local time.

Given that Frigibax evolves into Baxcalibur, pegged as Gen 9’s pseudo-legendary dragon, the anticipation within the Pokémon community is palpable. Niantic is likely to make Frigibax a coveted rarity in 10 km Eggs, in line with their past practice of tightly controlling access to particularly impactful Pokémon in battles and Raids.

So there you have it, Trainers. The Adventures Abound Season is not just offering new Pokémon but also giving us new objectives and fresh reasons to keep those incubators busy. Mark your calendars for September 15 and happy hatching.
