Sea of Stars Gets Steam Deck Verification Ahead of its Launch

Exciting times are ahead for RPG enthusiasts and Steam Deck users. Sabotage Studio’s much-anticipated retro-inspired RPG, Sea of Stars, is gearing up for its launch later this month. And the cherry on the cake? It’s now Steam Deck Verified.

For the uninitiated, when a game is dubbed “Steam Deck Verified,” it signifies that it has been fully optimized for Valve’s portable gaming device. What this means for players is an unblemished and seamless gaming experience convenient for those on the move. As for Sea of Stars, players can dive into its rich world from day one of its release without any hitches.

Given Sea of Stars’ nature, many believe the game is ideally suited for handheld gameplay. It evokes the golden era of RPGs when many iconic titles found their home on portable consoles. Sabotage Studio seems to be tapping into that nostalgia, making playing on the Steam Deck even more appealing.

It would be an understatement to say that Sabotage Studio is going all out with its new title. They recently announced that Sea of Stars had gone gold, ensuring its quality and readiness for the gaming world. For those eager to experience the game, it will be available across a plethora of platforms:

  • PS5
  • Xbox Series X/S
  • PS4
  • Xbox One
  • Nintendo Switch
  • PC

Sabotage Studio offers a free demo across all platforms if you’re on the fence about Sea of Stars. It’s a perfect opportunity to get a taste of the world and mechanics before the official release on August 29th.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
