Mario Kart Arcade GP 2 Playable on Steam Deck After Technical Workaround
Jonathan Biondi, known as Stachekip on X, has managed to get Mario Kart Arcade GP 2 to run on the Steam Deck. The player says this was not an easy task, but after some time, they got the game working on the Steam Deck.
The process involved using an older version of the Triforce build of Dolphin through ProtonGE, along with extensive configuration and applying various patches to the emulator. Biondi notes that while this older version of the Triforce Dolphin emulator lacks compatibility with memory card features, it does allow for a fully playable experience on the Steam Deck.

Biondi also experimented with a newer 2023 build of the Triforce Dolphin but faced challenges as it refused to launch through Proton, unlike the older version. Unfortunately, attempts to resolve the issue by installing vcredist via Protontricks were unsuccessful.
MKAGP2 was first launched in Japan on March 14, 2007, followed by releases in Europe and Australia on July 10, 2007, and in North America on March 12, 2008.
