The Next Diablo 4 Expansion is ‘Vessel of Hatred’

So, you’ve been roaming the lands of Sanctuary, battling the forces of evil, and you think you’ve seen it all? Hold onto your helmets because Blizzard just rolled out some news that will shake things up for Diablo 4. Last year, we heard whispers of grand plans for the game’s future, with expansions lined up like dominoes ready to topple. And now, those rumors are taking shape.

During the buzz of BlizzCon 2023, a fresh slice of the Diablo universe was served up. Enter ‘Vessel of Hatred’, the title of Diablo 4’s first big expansion. Now, if you’re among those who spent countless hours in Diablo 2, you’re in for a treat.

The expansion sends players deep into the heart of the Torajan jungles. Those jungles are not just another pretty backdrop; they are steeped in the rich lore we’ve all come to love. And the cherry on top? Mephisto is making a comeback. Yes, that Mephisto, the big bad from way back when, is back in the spotlight, which aligns with what the leak-loving netizens have been speculating.

But wait, there’s more. Blizzard is not just dusting off old villains; they’re also adding a brand-new class to the mix. They’re tight-lipped on the details, but they promise it’ll be something we’ve never seen before in Diablo. A “completely different” class, they say. That’s a pretty bold claim, given the wild array of characters we’ve already played.

As for the when and where you’ll need a little more patience. ‘Vessel of Hatred’ is slated for a late 2024 release. It’s coming to almost every platform you’d want to play on: PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. That’s quite a spread, ensuring no one is left out of the demon-slaying party.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
