Sonic Mania Plus to Debut on Mobile Through Netflix in 2024

Netflix Expands Its Gaming Catalog with Sonic Mania Plus and Other Exciting Titles

Netflix is set to redefine the mobile gaming landscape with the much-awaited release of Sonic Mania Plus on Android and iPhone platforms in 2024. This move marks the game’s mobile debut and symbolizes Netflix’s ambitious stride in the gaming domain.

Mike Verdu, VP of Games at Netflix, underscores the company’s journey toward becoming a must-play game destination. In just two years, Netflix has launched 40 games, including the imminent release of Grand Theft Auto Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, and is rapidly diversifying its gaming portfolio.

Sonic Mania Plus, initially developed by Christian Whitehead, Headcannon, and PagodaWest Games in collaboration with Sonic Team, celebrates the Sonic legacy with a modern twist. Players can enjoy explosive speeds with Sonic, fly with Tails, or harness Knuckles’ strength, experiencing classic zones with new bosses and challenges. The game’s arrival on Netflix Games exclusively makes it an even more enticing prospect for fans and newcomers alike.

Netflix is not just stopping at Sonic Mania Plus. Their plans include nearly 90 more games in development, signaling a robust and varied gaming future. Among these, notable titles include Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit, FashionVerse, and Game Dev Tycoon, each offering unique experiences to gamers.

With Sonic Mania Plus and many other exciting titles, Netflix is positioning itself as a formidable player in the gaming industry. The blend of classic games and innovative new titles ensures that Netflix members have a wide array of gaming experiences without ads, in-app purchases, or extra fees.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
