Studio Wildcard Reschedules Ark: Survival Ascended Content, Scorched Earth Launch Moved to March 2024
Studio Wildcard, the developers behind the popular game Ark: Survival Ascended, have made significant changes to their post-launch content schedule, with various maps getting delayed.
Ark: Survival Ascended, which is already available on Xbox Series X/S, PC, and PS5, has been a hit among gamers, known for its unique blend of survival, adventure, and dinosaurs. The game’s next big event, Survival of the Fittest, is set to make its debut across all platforms on December 20th, keeping the community engaged with new challenges and experiences.
However, the roadmap for future content has seen some significant changes. Originally scheduled for a release this month, Scorched Earth is now slated for March 2024. This delay sets the tone for the subsequent release of other maps, with The Center arriving in May, Aberration in July, Ragnarok in September, and Extinction in October. There’s also a mysterious “surprise” planned for November, keeping the anticipation high among players.
The year 2024 will conclude with the release of Valguero in December, but the updates don’t stop there. Studio Wildcard has outlined its plans for 2025, starting with Genesis Part 1 in February, followed by The Crystal Isles in April, Genesis Part 2 in May, Lost Island in August, and finally, Fjordur in October.
Aside from these updates for Ark: Survival Ascended, fans are also eagerly awaiting the launch of Ark 2. Initially planned for an earlier release, the game is now set to launch at the end of 2024, available on Xbox, Game Pass, and PC. This delay might be a bit of a letdown for fans who were looking forward to diving into the new world of Ark 2 sooner.
