Pokemon Go Players Hit with 12/24h Restrictions just before Go Tour Sinnoh Global

Oh boy, we have a situation on our hands. Just when you thought your biggest challenge was catching ’em all, along comes a curveball, and I’m not talking about the kind that earns you extra XP.

On February 22, and 23, 2024, the Pokemon Go landscape got a bit rocky when a bunch of trainers, maybe even you, received this daunting message: “We have detected unusual activity from your account.” Yikes, right?

This message has been popping up more than a Rattata in a city park, leaving players scratching their heads and wondering, “What’s up, Niantic?” If you’re one of the folks hit with this message, you’ve probably noticed some limitations slapped on your gameplay.

Now, the big question on everyone’s mind is, “How long is this going to last?” While we’re crossing our fingers it’s just a 12, or even 24-hour limitation, there’s been no official word yet.

This whole ban wave thing has got us pondering what exactly triggers Niantic’s alarm bells. Did someone accidentally take a gym from their couch, or is it something more mysterious?

The lack of info from Niantic isn’t exactly comforting, but hey, let’s not jump to conclusions. It’s totally possible for systems to get their wires crossed and flag accounts by mistake.

I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled and my ear to the ground for any updates or insider info to help us navigate through this mess. Stay tuned to our site for the latest scoops. And hey, don’t be shy, drop your thoughts or personal tales in the comments. It’s times like these that we gotta stick together and share a little empathy (and maybe a few conspiracy theories) as we wait for the fog to clear. Hang in there, team.

We’ve tackled bigger challenges than this, and we’ll get through it together.
