Reynatis Japan Exlusive RPG Release Trailer
The good thing is it's not a Switch exclusive
I was watching the Nintendo Direct presentation the other day, and FuRyu dropped the news about this cool new action RPG called Reynatis. Looks like it’s hitting Japan this summer, July 25th, to be exact, and it’s coming out on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and the Switch.
The brains behind this game? Takumi Isobe, who you might know from Trinity Trigger. He’s the planner, producer, and director. And get this, Kazushige Nojima, the legend behind epic stories in Final Fantasy VII, VIII, X, and the Kingdom Hearts series, is crafting the game’s storyline. Music? That’s Yoko Shimomura’s department, famous for her tunes in Street Fighter II, Final Fantasy XV, and, yeah, Kingdom Hearts again.
The characters jumping out of the screen? That’s thanks to Yasutaka Kaburagi’s designs, while Yūsuke Naora’s makes sure the visuals are nothing short of stunning. Plus, StudioGOONEYS is on board for those cutscenes that’ll probably blow our minds.
The setting? Modern-day Shibuya in Tokyo, and here magic’s real.
The story focuses on two main characters. There’s Marin Kirizumi, a mage with this uncontainable power, fighting for her freedom. Then there’s Sari Nishijima, who’s all about keeping mages in check to keep the world orderly. Their paths cross, and that’s where the adventure kicks off.
