Rockstar Games wants to get the devs back in Office for the development of GTA 6

Rockstar Games wants to bring the developers back to their office for the development of GTA 6.

As reported by Bloomberg, this inquiry is based on directives from Jenn Kolbe, the company head of publishing. He communicated to the staff, saying the transition from hybrid working models is important for better productivity, more precisely as GTA 6 enters its final development phase.

A leak that occurred in September 2022, when hackers released an hour’s worth of Grand Theft Auto 6 footage, has shuffled Rockstar Games plans, and this, with the move away from hybrid working models and bringing the devs to the office, will result in much better security.

And it’s not just that. In December, the GTA 6 trailer was also leaked, which rushed Rockstar Games to reveal the original piece moments after it was leaked. Remote work is not as welcome, especially when you’re entering the final development stage.

Development studios have been used to this since COVID-19, but now that it’s gone, it’s better and safer for the company as a whole for them to be working from the office.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
