It is so rewarding to see something new in the game, and that new thing drawing in numbers of players.
This is the case with the latest Season 20 in Apex Legends. Available since February 13, 2024, this Season 20 brought a few changes, among which is the new Legend Upgrade system, 120Hz for next-gen consoles, haptics and adaptive triggers for controllers and many other interesting things.
The Season 20 in Apex Legends came right in time for the game’s fifth anniversary, so to commemorate that, there are maps with celebratory confetti and balloons. That is not all though, players can earn six Legends which were previously exclusively available through premium currency.
All of these improvements and new things brought big success to Apex Legends, and the proof of that is the constant climbing player count number on Steam. This is the highest average number since May in 2023. And it keeps on going up. All other games out there should take notes, this is how it is done.
I am very proud at what I am seeing right now, and I absolutely am delighted that Apex Legends has the success it has right now. All those new things, gameplay improvements and whatnot in Apex Legends Season 20 proves that developers are listening to their fanbase, and implementing everything they wish to have in the game.
