How to Catch Wiglett in Pokémon GO? Grab your Swimming Stuff and Worry Not

Trainers, Niantic and Pokémon GO just released two new updates from the Rediscover Pokémon GO upgrade, and what gets our attention is the new Pokémon Wiglett. Many players will want to know how to catch this Pokémon, so thanks to the community, we have the right answer.

The Garden Eel Pokémon Wiglett is the Pokémon that broke the ice after a long time. What ice? What is happening? Well, Niantic and Pokémon GO haven’t released a new Pokémon into the wild in who knows how long, and now we get that chance with Wiglett.

Wigglet was announced as part of the Rediscover Kanto update. This update focuses on biomes and Kanto Pokémon in specific biomes.

What are Biomes?

Biomes are characteristics assigned to spawn points. Each spawn point can have only one biome. We refer to biomes when multiple spawn points in a particular area share the same biome characteristic.

List of Biomes and Pokémon in Pokémon GO

  • Desert Biome: Ekans, Snubbull, Growlithe, Mankey, Meowth, Ekans, Sandshrew, Geodude, Ponyta
  • Bug Biome: Spinarak, Eevee, Venonat, Ledyba, Exeggcute
  • Water Biome: Magikarp, Psyduck, SlowPoké, Tentacool
  • Swamp Biome: Poliwag, Staryu, Horsea, Goldeen, Krabby, MArill, Wooper, Totodile
  • Electric Biome: Magnemite, and Voltorb
  • Oceanic Biome: Shellder, Seel, Drowzee, Swinub, Jynx
  • Grass Biome: Paras, Oddish, Bellsprout, Chikorita, Sunker, Bulbasaur, Pinsir, Tangela, Dodrio
  • Mountain Biome: Clefairy, Nidoran, Zubat, Diglett
  • Neutral Biome: Aipom, Murkrow, and Natu
  • Forest Biome: Bulbasaur, Caterpie, Weedle, Oddish
  • Beach Biome: Squirtle, Psyduck, Seel, Magikarp, Wiglett
  • City Biome: Pidgey, Machop, Gastly

Now that we already know more about biomes, let’s see how to catch Wiglett, and trust me it’s very simple. All you have to do is take your bathing suit, sunscreen, and a swim ring if you don’t know how to swim and walk by water. It doesn’t have to be a river, lake, beach, or ocean, you only need water around you.

That’s all that you need to know, it’s nothing complicated. We hope you find and catch Wiglett and add the new Pokémon to your dex.

Oh, and I almost forgot, you will need 50 Candy to evolve into Wugtrio.
