Pokemon Go: US has Contributed the Most to the Title’s Financial Success

It has been revealed couple weeks ago that Pokemon Go hit a milestone of $1.2 billion. According to the new study from the mobile analyst Senson Tower, the US is the country that has contributed the most to the financial state of the game since its launch.

While the US is the nation that spent the most on Pokemon Go, the Japanese players make the highest purchases in the game on an individual level. The Japanese players have spent an average of $26 per download in the mobile title over the past 12 months.

These statistics are huge indicators of which countries give the most in Pokemon Go, but the most impressive thing is a number of downloads of the game since its release back in 2016. The mobile title has reached a unique install figure with one download per App Store or Google Play account of almost 329 million in total.

The amount of revenue and dedicated user engagement for Pokemon Go will continue to grow due to Niantic’s ongoing updates for the game. As we all know, the Anniversary event has recently begun and offers players the chance to acquire an Ash Hat Pikachu and various loot boxes. The developers plan to continue getting people worldwide to go outside and connect with their fellow Pokemon Go fans.

It will be quite interesting to see how much higher the revenue can climb for Pokemon Go beyond its first year.
