With the new feature, weather system, introduced in Pokemon Go, which will adapt to players’ local weather patterns, and species are going to get weather bonuses, depending on their type.
The weather system is something new in Pokemon Go, and to be honest is nothing complicated to get used to. There is nothing special that any of us should know, except when specific Pokemon Type gets weather bonuses.
As the weather changes, the app will automatically change to sunny, rainy, snowy, foggy, partly cloudy and windy. During specific weather, the following types are stronger, spawn more frequently and give extra Stardust.
Here is a weather infosheet made by LuckDuck:
In addition, there is another infosheet made by DrPikaJu on Reddit, that shows the percentage of Stardust and damage, but I wouldn’t get excited because it’s not verified yet. Take a look:
According to PokemonGoHub and their research:
Pokemon that are boosted during specific weather conditions receive a guaranteed IV set, below which the Pokemon can’t spawn. Similar to Raid Bosses and Eggs, we expect that a minimum guaranteed set of weather IVs will be 10, 10, 10 or slightly lower.
In addition, the base Combat Power of Pokemon receives a bonus multiplier during capture encounter, making the Pokemon harder to catch.
For last, there no exclusive weather spawns and all Gens of Pokemon are affected.
